A proud graduate of Phillis Wheatley High School’s esteemed magnet program, Matthew pursued higher education at Texas Southern University (TSU), where he honed the skills and knowledge that would lay the foundation for his future endeavors.

Matthew began his career in security in 2009, cutting his teeth in some of Houston’s most prominent clubs. His dedication and natural aptitude for the job quickly earned him recognition, and he soon became a respected figure in the local security community. For five years, Matthew worked with a well-regarded security company, where he gained invaluable experience and insight into the industry’s inner workings.

Over the years, Matthew has developed extensive experience in leading teams both small and large, managing security operations in diverse settings. His expertise spans nightclubs, nightlife venues, restaurants, private clubs, apartments, and offices. This broad spectrum of experience has equipped Matthew with a unique understanding of the specific security needs and challenges across various environments.

Balancing his roles as a father and a dedicated professional, Matthew has always been driven by a desire to make a positive impact. This commitment to his community and a vision to change the public perception of security services led him to establish Oxford Protection Services.
